Nurse Clinics
Our registered veterinary nurses run a range of clinics that complement the care provided by our vets. These appointments are less expensive than a vet consultation, and are ideal for routine care and ongoing support.
What we offer
Weight clinics
If your pet is overweight, underweight or recovering from illness, our nurses can help with regular weigh-ins, body condition scoring and tailored feeding advice. Weight management has a huge effect on long-term health, particularly for joint disease and diabetes.
Post-operative checks
Most surgical patients come back to see a nurse for a wound check, suture removal where needed, and to make sure recovery is going to plan.
Nail clipping
For pets that struggle with their nails being trimmed at home, our nurses can do this safely and quickly. This is also a good opportunity to check feet and pads for any other problems.
Anal gland expression
Some dogs (and occasionally cats) benefit from having their anal glands manually emptied. Signs include scooting along the floor, licking the area or a strong odour.
Senior pet checks
Older pets benefit from regular nurse-led health checks to monitor weight, mobility, dental health and any subtle changes that might warrant a vet appointment.
New puppy and kitten advice
Our nurses are happy to talk through feeding, training, parasite prevention, socialisation and any other questions you have as a new pet owner.
Parasite prevention
Advice on flea, tick and worm control — including the best products for your individual pet’s lifestyle.
Booking
Nurse clinic appointments can be booked by phone or online — just let us know which type of appointment you need.
